Richard Johnson goes back to school!

Here are some fab pics of a huge classroom mural that Richard Johnson helped a class from a school in North Lincolnshire create! Attending as a 'visiting artist' Richard talked to the children about his work, answered their questions, then helped them design and produce this 'Art Monster' trompe l'oeil mural that bursts out of their classroom wall! The children's amazing artworks were cut out and added to the mural with the idea that it will continue to evolve over the coming months! We love it - what do you think?

The Big Little Bookroom Adventure!

Newsflash! Shane McGowan has just attended the launch for his latest book 'Zelda's Big Adventure' at The Little Bookroom in Melbourne, Australia that first opened its doors to the public on Friday the 13th October, 1960! Albert Ullin, after studying literature and languages and working extensively in the book trade in Australia and internationally, decided to focus his love for contemporary children's literature and illustration into an Australian first: he would open a bookshop devoted solely to children's books! We think he must have been on to something for this little gem to still be open and thriving 56 years on!

Wake Up to Laure Fournier's latest release!

Beautifully illustrated by Laure Fournier, 'Wake up City!' takes us on a magical journey through the waking city as a little girl and her father make their way to school:
"The gumdrop sun rises high"
"in the cotton candy sky."
"A woman stretches. She starts to run."
"The city morning has begun!"

The sleeping city slowly wakes as light starts to creep up over the buildings and as they walk through the drowsy streets, a woman begins her morning jog, street sweepers clean up the roads, shops begin to open, and food deliveries are made to restaurants! Join them on their journey with little bee books from 9th August!
